Product Description

Heavy ball. Clear feedback.

Selected and tested by Ian Jenson, this 450g weighted juggling ball is made for experienced jugglers who want stronger feedback in toss, catch, stall, and technical pattern training.

Most juggling balls are light enough to hide small mistakes. A pattern can feel “stable” simply because the body has learned to run it on autopilot. Small timing errors, path drift, unstable catches, and unnecessary tension can stay hidden for a long time.

The 450g weight changes that.

Each throw, catch, and stall becomes more demanding. If your movement is not truly stable, the added load makes it harder to ignore. A familiar pattern that feels easy with normal balls becomes a higher-feedback drill, forcing your hands, wrists, and arms to respond with more precision.

This is the main value of the ball: it helps move practice out of the comfort zone without changing the pattern itself. Used in short, controlled sessions, it can help you return to normal juggling balls with cleaner catches, clearer timing, and a stronger sense of where the ball is moving.

The weight also makes it useful for stall work and contact-inspired transitions, especially when regular juggling balls feel too light. It is not a replacement for a crystal ball, but it gives toss juggling enough mass to connect more naturally with contact-style movement.

The soft rubber shell compresses slightly under pressure, while the iron-sand filling gives the ball its weight and keeps it low-bounce. When dropped, it does not rebound much or roll far.

This is not a general beginner juggling ball. It is a high-feedback training prop for controlled practice.

Safety Note

Because each ball weighs 450g, high throws return with much more impact than normal juggling balls. Use low to medium-height throws only.

Avoid high siteswaps, overhead throws, or patterns where the ball returns with heavy impact, such as high 7s, 9s, or 97531-style training. Catch with the whole hand and allow the arm to absorb impact. Do not catch hard with the fingertips.

Train in short sessions and stop if you feel pain in the fingers, wrists, elbows, or shoulders.
