The Crystal Baton Mini takes the idea of the full-sized Crystal Baton and shrinks it into something you can carry almost anywhere.
At just 30 cm long, it is quick, light, and easy to pick up whenever your hands need something to do — waiting for the bus, sitting in a café, between sets at a show. Small enough to disappear into a bag. Hard to put down once you pick it up.
Everything that makes the full-sized Crystal Baton visually interesting is still here.
The transparent PMMA spheres still act as convex lenses, bending and refracting the world around them. Hold an isolation correctly and the image inside the ball appears to float. The central grip is still there for finger control and spinning.
The difference is in the movement.
The Standard Crystal Baton gives you a longer movement path, more momentum, and a larger visual presence.
The Crystal Baton Mini is faster, lighter, and more compact — better suited to small hand movements, finger manipulation, and casual play wherever you happen to be.
Same idea. Different scale.
At 30 cm and 77 g per piece, the Mini responds quickly without feeling weightless. Designed by Ian Jenson as the version you can keep close enough to reach for without thinking.
