Product Description:
Two balls. One rhythm.
The Asalato is a West African percussion instrument repurposed as a flow toy — two hollow spheres connected by a string, played by swinging, catching, and crossing them around the fingers and hand. The result is a prop that produces sound as you move, creating a rhythmic feedback loop between hand and instrument.
Simple to pick up. Surprisingly deep to master.
Each sphere contains seeds or small pellets that rattle on contact, producing a sharp, satisfying click with every catch. Once you find the rhythm, the sound becomes part of the movement — the prop tells you when you're on time and when you're not.
Compact enough to fit in a pocket. No batteries, no charging, no screen. Just two balls on a string, and as much complexity as you're willing to find in it.
Sold as a pair.
